Dual Diagnosis Treatment
Integrated care for co-occurring disorders
Dual diagnosis treatment at HPC Helpline addresses both addiction and mental health conditions simultaneously. Many individuals struggling with substance use disorders also have co-occurring mental health conditions such as depression, anxiety, PTSD, or bipolar disorder. Treating both together is essential for lasting recovery.
What is Dual Diagnosis?
Dual diagnosis (also called co-occurring disorders) refers to having both a substance use disorder and a mental health condition. These conditions often fuel each other—mental health symptoms may lead to self-medication with substances, while substance use can worsen mental health symptoms.
Mental Health Conditions We Treat
- Depression
- Anxiety Disorders
- Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD)
- Bipolar Disorder
- Personality Disorders
- Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD)
- Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (OCD)
- Eating Disorders
Our Integrated Approach
At HPC Helpline, our dual diagnosis program provides:
- Comprehensive Assessment: Thorough evaluation of both addiction and mental health
- Psychiatric Care: Medication management by experienced psychiatrists
- Integrated Therapy: Treatment plans that address both conditions simultaneously
- Trauma-Informed Care: Specialized approaches for those with trauma histories
- Coordinated Team: Addiction specialists and mental health professionals working together
Why Integrated Treatment Matters
- Treating only addiction leaves mental health issues untreated, increasing relapse risk
